Last week, my husband and I visited Nashville for the first time for our anniversary trip. Nashville has been on my bucket list for a while and I am SO glad I finally got to experience the city. It has such a fun vibe and the people were extremely friendly. We left the kids behind for this trip which was definitely a good call. If it’s your first time going, you’re going to want to experience the Broadway scene, which is basically a row of Honky Tonks playing live music day and night. The first time we went down there was a Wednesday afternoon and I was surprised to see so many bars open and full….during the day…on a weekday lol. But that ended up being tame because Saturday night was LIT- I’m talking they close off the streets and it’s just people upon people bar hopping and living their best life.

If that’s not really your scene, there’s still plenty to see and do. We were there for four full days which I thought was a good amount of time. There are plenty of hotels to choose from, and we decided to stay at The Joseph, which is part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection (hello, Bonvoy points). It’s a smaller, boutique hotel in Downtown. The location is great because you’re walking distance to so many sights, but still far enough from the craziness of Broadway Street. When I was researching hotels that were closer to Broadway, people complained about not being able to sleep because you can hear all the music and people. So just something to be mindful of.
I created an itinerary to help out if you’re planning your own trip. I definitely plan on visiting again and would love to hear some of your favorite places to visit that may not be on my list.
