For LDW we booked a last minute (per usual) trip to Palm Springs. There’s really not a whole lot to do in PS, but it’s close by and we just wanted to relax. Too bad I didn’t check the weather until after we booked the hotel: 110 degrees. Nice (not). We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells and pretty much lounged by the pool all day, since it was way too hot to do anything else.
The next night we visited Joshua Tree for some star gazing. This was the best part of the trip, because when you’re up there, the only thing you can hear is the wind and it’s so incredible peaceful. I want a yard like that.
On our way home, we stopped by the Shields Date Farm to pick up some dates. Unexpectedly, they had a “walk” on their property that took you through the life of Jesus; really nice.
looks like such a fun weekend despite the heat. i have always wanted to visit joshua tree and star gazing was on my summer bucket list and we never got around to it. that walk looks so cool, too!
