BEAUTY TALK

Today I’m talking about some of my favorite beauty products.  Now, I am no beauty junkie.  If I find a product I like, I tend to stick to it and don’t mix it up too much, so these products are some of my “tried and true.”

1. Urban Decay’s Naked Palette.  I don’t wear eyeshadow on a daily basis, and when I do, I prefer earth tones/neutrals.  This palette has a great selection of just that, and the brush it comes with is really all I need for application.
2. Essie’s “Ballet Slippers”  A classic, light pink.  Can’t go wrong.
3. Mac’s “Teddy” Eyeliner.  I’ve been using this stuff for over 10 years and love it.  The color is really pretty.  Mac’s site describes it as an “intense bronze,” but I’d describe it as a chocolate with a pearly finish.  It’s perfect for daytime and you can easily use it to transition into a nighttime look.
4. NARS’ “Orgasm” blush.  A pretty, shimmery pink with a peach undertone.
5. Mac’s “Rebel”  A really pretty plum.
6. Clarisonic’s Mia 2.  I’ve been using the Clarisonic for about 4 months now, and to be honest, my skin still isn’t where I want it to be.  It may just be that I’m using the wrong cleanser (suggestions for combination skin welcome).  But, I do feel like my skin is cleaner when I use the Clarisonic.
7. St. Moriz Instant Tanning Mouse.  I had to order this from Amazon because it’s only sold in the UK, but the price is right and it works!
8. Chanel’s “Chance”  My signature scent.  I just love it.
9. Vaseline.  You really can’t go wrong with this staple.  I like to put it on my lips at night as a good moisturizer. 
10. Anastasia’s “Brow Wiz”  My favorite way to fill in my brows.  I use the color “ebony” which blends in nicely with my brow color.
11. NARS’ “Heat Wave”  A really pretty orangey red.
12. Mac’s “Sketch” eyeshadow.  My go-to color for a smokey eye.
