I have been meaning to share more home photos, but there’s still so much of our house that isn’t “done” yet. If you’ve been following along for a while, you know that we moved into this house right before A was born after a major reno job. I plan on sharing some before/after photos, but I’ve been waiting for my “after” to actually be finished. Sure, the house is done in terms of the reno, but I still have so much decorating to do to actually make it feel like home. And by the time that happens, we’ll probably be moving again, so I figure I’ll just share one space at a time, to the extent it’s semi/finished.
Today I wanted to share our outdoor dining space since I FINALLY got in my dining chairs! Story behind these chairs: I spotted them back in April and knew I had to have them since they’d go perfect with the outdoor dining table (that my husband built, BTW, along with the benches!) But as my luck would have it, the grey color was sold out and according to Wayfair’s site, they wouldn’t be restocked until August. What the what?
I didn’t want to wait that long so I called up Wayfair to see if that was accurate. Long story short, the guy I talked to tracked some down in the warehouse so I placed my order … score!
And then came the sike moment. Turns out the warehouse was wrong and they didn’t have any in stock. Sucks for me. So I decided to just wait until August until they came back in stock.
I would periodically check the “expected by” date on Wayfair’s site and recently noticed that the date was now pushed back to December! What in the world was going on! I once again called Wayfair and they told me it was probably a manufacturing issue, and I should probably just find another chair to buy (lol)
I kind of let it go for a while and just forgot about the chairs. Until … I got an email last week (I had signed up for Wayfair’s “alert me when back in stock” email) letting me know that the chair were back in stock!! I immediately placed my order and now that I have them, I’m SO glad I waited. I absolutely love them! The color is beautiful and goes so well with the table. They honestly just made such a big difference in that area of the yard and I can’t stop staring at them from my kitchen window. I have a feeling I’m going to be dining alfresco a lot more now!
