To say that the last 2 months have been busy would be an understatement. I started my maternity leave in March and we (finally) moved into the house on March 7th. Moving always sucks and I absolutely hate it. It sucks even more when you move into a house that’s not quite done yet. We spent pretty much everyday in March dealing with workers and last minute touches. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I also frantically worked to put together the nursery before the baby’s debut. I can finally say that it’s done for the most part; I’ll probably do a nursery post if I get some free time one of these days (LOL).
While the baby was supposed to arrive in March, he waited until April to make his appearance (you can read his birth story here). I swear he was waiting for all the work to be done in the house because my water broke on the very first day we no longer had people working in the house. Since he arrived, the month has just felt like one really long night; I still can’t believe he’s already going to be a month old next week! This month has obviously been all about baby and learning how to be parents (and survive). We also took his newborn photos which I can’t wait to see! Being a first time mom is no doubt hard (another understatement), but it’s also amazing and I wouldn’t have it any other way. We are in love with our little blessing.
