MALIBU CAFE & MALIBU WINES

I’ve lived in LA my whole life but feel like I haven’t truly had a chance to explore it because school has always consumed so much of my time. Now that I’m officially an “adult” and have some “free time” I feel like it’s time to really explore this huge city I call home. So I’ve set out to create my own “LA Guide” of my favorite places thus far. Today’s picks: Malibu Cafe at Calamigos Ranch and Malibu Wines. The two are not affiliated, but are close in proximity to each other.

I first went to Malibu Cafe last October for my sister’s birthday. It is such a beautiful property and they have good food. It’s a nice place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. I’ve been meaning to go back at night, just to see the place lit up.

A couple months later, we went to Malibu Wines to celebrate my last birthday as a twenty-something (wahh!) I have to say, it was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had. Another beautiful property with live music, good wine, friends and family. It’s definitely on my go-back-to list.
