I used to think that the way to make iced coffee was to brew a cup of hot coffee and then add ice cubes to it. What I’d end up with is a cup of watered down, lukewarm coffee. Not good. So I Googled the proper method and discovered that it’s actually pretty easy!
What You Need (Yields 2 Drinks)
- Coffee grinder
- French press
- 2/3 cup whole coffee beans
- 3 cups cold water, filtered
- Ice
- Milk
- Sweetener (optional)
Instructions
Grind the coffee beans between the middle and fine setting on your grinder.
Put the ground coffee into the French press and then top it with your 3 cups of water. Stir until well blended.
Place the lid on the French press, but leave the plunger in the upright position. Place the French press in your refrigerator (with the plunger up) and steep overnight.
The next day, plunge the press to separate the coffee from the grounds. Pour the coffee into a glass, add your milk, ice and sweetener and enjoy!
