So you know how some people collect stamps, cards, etc.? Well, I collect purses, much to my husband’s chagrin. My latest acquisition is my Prada Saffiano Lux Tote. I was debating between this bag and a Celine Trapeze bag, but decided on the Prada because (to me) it’s a timeless design. Here’s a brief review:
Color: Cameo. It’s a beautiful color that looks like a pinkish beige/nude. Christian Louboutin has a very similar color with some of his classic shoes. I love this color because it’s soft and elegant.
Size: Very roughly 55cm long x 46.5cm tall. For some reason I couldn’t find a link to this size bag on the Prada site.

Functionality: What I like about this bag is that you can clasp in the sides to make it more structured, or you can expand them to give the bag a more “boxy” look (pictured below). I also like the two zippers that lead to separate compartments in the front and back of the bag; they’re good for work paperwork.

What I didn’t like is that one of my clasps broke about four months after I bought the bag. Apparently, if the button doesn’t line up precisely, it won’t clasp. When I took it to Prada for repair, I learned that they only have one factory in New York to which they send ALL of their U.S. repairs. So I was advised that I could potentially be without my bag for four months. I was NOT happy about that. But, it actually took them a little more than a month to fix the bag, and they did some touch up, which I appreciated.
