Spent the 4th of July in Mammoth, enjoyed some pool days, bought (and started demo on) our second house, (finally) had a girl’s night, and met Baby Noah! I also did my “Social Media Cleanse” this month; no Instagram and no Facebook. For someone who incessantly checks social media, the detox was surprisingly easier than I thought. When it was no longer there for me to check, I didn’t care to log onto IG or FB. But despite my “cleanse”, I still found myself taking pictures of stupid things, like my outfits and food (old habits die hard?) Nonetheless, while I don’t think that I’ll permanently remove myself from social media, being disconnected from it for a while made me realize that it’s kind of … dumb/unimportant (for lack of better words). You really don’t need to stay “connected” 24/7 and it’s fine to just BE, without being on your phone. Perhaps being disconnected was what also allowed me to finish two books this month: Mere Christianity and It Starts with Food. You’d be surprised at how much time is wasted via social media!

Looks like you had a fun July! Cutting out social media would be so hard, but it's good to have a 'cleanse' once in a while:)
